When is the Casino Night & Auction?

Saturday, March 24, 2018.  Doors will open at 7pm.

 

Will there be a live and silent auction?

Yes, both.  However, the silent auction tables will be open longer than usual, but will close before the live auction.  
 

Will there be a paddle raise?

Yes, we will be raising the paddle for school supplies for Fall 2018.  Our goal is to be able to provide school supplies for ALL of our students. 

What will the money raised go towards?

The South Shore PTSA collects all of the money and then uses the money throughout the school year for the benefit of the children at South Shore Pk-8 School. In summary, our Auction accounts for the majority of our annual budget, which supports key school programs and various items for students and/or classrooms.

How can I help?

This year we are asking for donations to fill gift baskets for the silent auction, bottles of wine for the wine grab, desserts for the dessert table, find sponsors and unique experiences or items specifically for the live auction that you yourself would want.  

Is your PTSA a verified 501c3 organization?

Yes we are!  All donations are tax deductible as permitted by law.  Our tax ID is 32-0183785.  You can also find the IRS determination letter on the 'Forms' tab.

How much are tickets?

$25 in advance and $30 at the door.  Tickets include casino games (Roulette, Black Jack & Craps tables), heavy appetizers, beer & wine, desserts, an opportunity to bid on AMAZING donated items and an evening of fun!

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets go on sale February 1st. The link to purchase tickets will be shared here and via South Shore's Social Media.  All school staff members & volunteers are free. 

What is the theme?

Will there be 'real' gambling involved?

There will be NO money exchanged & NO real value to the chips. The chips can't be cashed in for an "item”. The games are all in fun.  It's a parent's night out!

What is the dress code?

Business casual is preferred.

Will food be provided?

Yes, heavy appetizers

Will there be dessert?

Yes, and as a matter of fact we are looking for donated desserts for the evening.  If you are interested in providing something please click            and let me know.

Is this a kid friendly event?  If not, will childcare be available?

This evening is intended to be an adult event and unfortunately childcare will not be available onsite.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, beer and wine.  Each guest will be provided with two drink tickets.  After that the cost per drink will be $5.  Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Will there be volunteer opportunities?

Definitely!  The night of, help will be needed for set up, take down, runners for the silent & live auction, bar staff and check out. If you are interested in volunteering please click            and let me know what you would like to help with.
